German roaches only need a small amount of food to sustain them.<\/p>\n<p>Remove indoor trash or keep them emptied.<br \/>\nKeep trash dumpsters clean.<br \/>\nMake sure food is not left in sink stainers and frequently run the garbage disposal.<br \/>\nKeep dishes clean, no residue of food remaining.<br \/>\nAll kitchen appliances (microwaves, toasters, ovens, refrigerators and stoves) should be maintained in a clean condition so that it is food free and grease free.<br \/>\nAll pet food needs to be picked up.<br \/>\nNo food left out.<br \/>\nSweeping or vacuuming of any food particles or crumbs.<br \/>\nClean any crumbs or food particles in your kitchen cabinets.<br \/>\nInspection : Look for Evidence<br \/>\nWhen inspecting for German cockroaches, thoroughness is very important. It is important to place the insecticides as close to their runways and harborages as possible. Their excrement looks like black pepper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A flashlight would be a handy tool to check the following places.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cracks and Crevices<\/li>\n<li>Behind and under refrigerators<\/li>\n<li>Behind and under stoves<\/li>\n<li>Behind and under microwavesa and toasters<\/li>\n<li>Under tops of tables<\/li>\n<li>Behind and under sinks<\/li>\n<li>Cabinets-corners and cracks and crevices<\/li>\n<li>Motors of refrigerators and soft drink dispensing machines<\/li>\n<li>Switchboxes and electical outlets<\/li>\n<li>Under and behind cafeteria counters and soda fountains<\/li>\n<li>Cash registers<\/li>\n<li>Telephones<\/li>\n<li>Vegetable bins<\/li>\n<li>ecycling bins<\/li>\n<li>Meat counters and check-out stands<\/li>\n<li>Meat cutting blocks<\/li>\n<li>Anywhere else conditions are favorable.<\/li>\n<li>Every situation may be different, inspect all places with favorable conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The German cockroach is one of the most common roaches found in apartment houses, restaurants, and hotels.
